With Electric Scooter being legal it is a yes and no answer. The main reason for this is that most electric scooters are classed as powered transporters which means that they are put into the same category as motor vehicles. This means that they are illegal to ride, however, there are some electric scooters that are legal to ride in the UK.

These would be the electric scooters that are rented or the electric scooters that are backed by Government schemes. Although there are a lot fewer dangers involved in riding a e-scooter as people use them for commuting as well as just having a bit of fun on which is different from electric scooters which cannot really be used for fun but more for just commuting or making small journeys.
